It was a fine Saturday as we headed down to the seaside. I've been to Trieste three times already, but this was the first time I actually got to walk around to see the sights.

We parked our car on the hill above Trieste and took a stroll on Strada Napoleonica. This road offers some nice views over the city and the nearby Vittoria Light (Victory Lighthouse).

We then wanted to use the tram to descend down to the city centre but apparently they don't run on Saturdays. So we just drove down and started walking.

Canal Grande - Teatro Romano - Basilica Forense Romana - Castello di San Giusto - Piazza Unità d'Italia - Piazza della Borsa.

We left Trieste after an amazing pizza at the Canal Grande and continued towards Castello di Miramare. It's a beautiful piece of land with a green park and a white castle right next to the sea.
