Indonesia was on my bucket list for a long time. I knew for sure this was our next destination, so I just waited for a couple of nice plane tickets. Indonesia is huge - with more than 17.000 islands it extends for 5.271 km. As this was our first trip to this diverse country, we limited ourselves in the classic central area of Java, Bali, Lombok and Flores. Anything further would've resulted in significant time loss. And we only had a shy month.

We flew Etihad / Air Serbia straight from Ljubljana which is always convenient. The problem was that the very first Air Serbia flight was 3 hrs late. They were quite organised and in the end got us on all connecting flights anyway. We arrived to Jakarta sometime in the night, checked into a nearby hotel and got some sleep. We had to move on the very next day and fly to Bali. A taxi took us from Ngurah Rai Airport to our first actual stop on Bukit Peninsula, where we spent the next few days ...
