The hidden Pokljuška soteska Gorge is located close to Bled. It’s much more tranquil than the busy neighbouring Vintgar Gorge.
The gorge was carved by glacial waters approximately 10,000 years ago. It is 2 kilometres long but we finished early since we couldn’t climb the fallen trees with our dog.
The gorge boasts of lush forest, diverse vegetation, natural bridges, steep walls, caves and narrow passages. We climbed through a passage and reached a fern clearing. We liked that the most. Quite a magical place.
